The Lone Star Region Volleyball Association, commonly referred to as The Lone Star Region, is incorporated by the laws of the state of Texas as a 501c(3) non profit.
The Region recognizes and adopts any penalties imposed by the USA Volleyball Ethics & Eligibility Committee.  The completed IRS Form 990 is available upon reasonable request by emailing willvick@satx.rr.com

Lone Star Region - Policies
Electronic Scoring Systems (VolleyStation, VolleyWrite, eScore, etc.):
Tournaments must have the paper score sheets available during the event if a team chooses not to use the Electronic Scoring system.

If the parent of your scorer is comfortable downloading the app and the athlete is familiar with the program, the Electronic Scoring system may be used to keep score.

** Certification in scoring still requires a two-set paper score sheet to be submitted to the Scorer Chair and receive a passing score.

The Electronic Scoring system will not be accepted for use during the Lone Star Junior Regionals tournament event.  A paper score sheet must be kept by the certified scorer in the BID division and by the clinic-attended scorer in the non-BID division.

Americans with Disabilities Act
The Region is committed to complying with federal and state disability law. All LSR-sanctioned teams and all LSR-sanctioned tournaments must comply with applicable federal and state disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Texas Human Resource Code § 121.001 et seq.

Tournament hosts and teams participating in LSR-sanctioned tournaments all must provide qualified sign language interpreters to the extent required by law to ensure that individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing have full and equal access to communications. Entities participating in the region must provide qualified sign language interpreters as the law requires to ensure full and equal access to communications at all tryouts and team activities, such as practices, clinics, and games.
